KIBA ITB International Exhibition at the Asian Festival Children’s Content, Singapore 2023

KIBA ITB International Exhibition was held at the Asian Festival Children’s Content event at the National Library Singapore.

Imagining science in picture books is fun! KIBA ITB is a course in the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia

We provide space for students to learn to make picture books from scratch in one semester of study. We use a different theme for each year, proposing project-based assignments to encourage students to become writer-illustrators. This year we have 29 outstanding students in a class with the theme Imagination in Science. They have completed the characterization workshop from the Visiting Professor Program, Professor Martin Salisbury last year. This continues with guides in story ideas and visual storyboards. The best students who were selected also received an Imajinesia Award, said Dr. Riama Maslan Sihombing, M.Sn.

Closing the class, KIBA ITB together with the students ended their final assignment by displaying and introducing their work at AFCC 2023. This received an extraordinary response from the visitors.
