Adi Riyanto Achieves National 2nd Place in Ceramic Fest Jogjakarta 2023
Adi Riyanto, a student from the Craft Study Program at the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), achieved a proud milestone by being selected as the "National 2nd Champion" in the creative ceramic competition "Ceramic Fest Jogjakarta 2023." His exceptional work earned him the prestigious Bantul Regent's Cup, which was presented at the Ku Pottery Museum in Kasongan, Bantul.
Adi Riyanto's winning entry, supervised by Rochmat Wahyu, a fellow student from the Ceramic Crafts Study Program Class of 2019, showcased a remarkable fusion of artistry and functionality. His creation, a teapot set, creatively integrated the concept of Cirebon masks with the theme of a perfect imperfection race. The result was a stunning piece that not only embodied artistic excellence but also offered practical utility.
The achievement reflects the dedication and talent of Adi Riyanto, as well as the quality of education and guidance provided by FSRD ITB's Craft Study Program. Through competitions like "Ceramic Fest Jogjakarta 2023," FSRD ITB continues to nurture and showcase the artistic prowess of its students on a national stage.
