Applied Photography “Food Photography” in Digital Visual Narration (NVD) Program

Digital Visual Narration (NVD) DKV FSRD ITB had a guest lecture on Applied Photography “Food Photography” with art director and professional foodstylist, Anne Foodstylist. The activity took place at ITB Jatinangor Campus on Monday and Tuesday, April 10-11, 2023. 

On the first day, Anne shared some insights regarding food styling photography. Students had opportunity to neatly styled burgers using their own properties. On the next day, she presented Food Photography Balancing as the material. On this occasion, students made compositions of fruits and vegetables in a key visual. Students shopped for their own fruits and vegetables, made sketches, made styling, took pictures and edited their photos well.

“Through this workshop, I hope students will have a key note for their portfolio and they can prove that graduates from visual communication design major can become food stylish. They do not have to be from the Culinary Department because the basic knowledge from visual communication design can be used both in composition, layout and color.”, said Anne.
