"FSRD ITB's 'Japan Design & Cultural Resources' Management Course, a collaborative student outbound program with @itbdesignethno @itb1920 and the National Museum of Japanese History, concluded its week-long activities on November 1, 2023. The course, aimed at enriching participants' understanding of Japanese design and culture, featured a diverse range of engagements. @itbdesignethno @itb1920 dan National Museum Japanese History.
Undergraduate students from the Visual Arts, Crafts, Interior, and Visual Communication Design Program, along with Masters of Visual Art students, embarked on a multifaceted journey:
1. A Special Lecture by Dr. Andryanto Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn, M.Sn, at the Intermediatheque Museum, University of Tokyo, offering insights into Museology in Indonesia.
2. Workshops and firsthand observations of museum management practices at the National Museum of Japanese History.
3. Visits to prominent design exhibitions, galleries, and museums, including the Intermediatheque Museum, Good Design Exhibition 2023, Mori Art Museum, and 2121 Design Sight.
4. A visit to Nosigner Studio in Yokohama, where participants engaged in a discussion with Eisuke Tachikawa, CEO of Nosigner Studio, delving into contemporary design practices.
Notably, the program also welcomed representatives of Indonesian Masters students from Chiba University, fostering international exchange and collaboration in the field of design and cultural studies.
