General Information
The development of art cannot be separated from the context of the supporting community. The research developed by the Aesthetics and Art Research Group includes the study of art theory to interpret and explain phenomena occurring in the world of art. Aesthetics and Art Research Group examines how art activities are intertwined with supporting aspects such as society, economy, politics, and others. Thus, Aesthetics and Art Research Group does not only focus on the study of artists and works of art, but also includes other aspects such as art critics, art historians, curators, art educators, art managers, and art therapists.

Aesthetics: the study of the characteristics, definitions, meanings, concepts, and significance of art, aiming to understand the essence of artistic expression.
Art Sciences: the study of art by utilizing scientific approaches like psychology, management, sociology, anthropology, and semiotics to analyze art within its broader context, integrating these disciplines as adjunct sciences.
Art Methodology: the study of methods and techniques employed in creating art, examining the artistic process itself.
