Zusfa Roihan, lecturer from Visual Arts Research Group, FSRD ITB participated in the Toyama International Art Camp 2022 which began on October 2, 2022 at the Tofokujino Seiunkaku Nature Park Training Center in Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture. This event is a three-year event and this is the first time this event has been held since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world.
13 artists from 10 countries including the USA, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Hungary, India, South Korea, Morocco, Poland, and Indonesia participated in this event. At the opening ceremony held in Nakakagawa, the artists wanted to improve the quality of their artistic work while strengthening friendships between artists from different countries.
On this occasion, the artists will have a public production on October 3-10, 2022 and their works will be exhibited at the exhibition held at the Prefectural Civic Center on November 26-29, 2022.
In an interview with Zusfa Roihan, he said that he can gain personal experience, meet new people, new artists, and new communities and be able to carry out international exhibitions. By participating in this activity, he hoped that it can open paths for several options for International Exhibition activities since International Exhibitions are well selected by the curator. He also hoped that students can also experience the same opportunity for short residency programs and later can open their paths for International Exhibitions.
