Jinan Laetitia was selected as the Best Contemporary R&B Male/Female Solo Artist at the 25th Indonesian Music Award

Jinan Laetitia Student of the Visual Art Program (Art Studies) class of 2019 has been fond of singing since childhood, from grade 4 of Elementary School. Her musical tastes range from Pop, R&B to hip hop.

Jinan Laetitia was selected as the Best Contemporary R&B Male/Female Solo Artist at the 25th Indonesian Music Award with the theme “Recover Together, Recover Through Music”. The event was held on October 13, 2022 at the RCTI+ Studio.

Jinan Laetitia shared that at the beginning of her career in the music industry, she found it difficult to manage her time, especially because all the song, from writing lyrics to music production, were done by herself. “I am in a position where I have to make time for recording, shooting music videos, and at the same time completing my responsibilities as a student at ITB. However, over time I learn that all things that are considered important can definitely be done by us, said Jinan.”

She felt after very moved after receiving the award and being selected as the winner for the Best Contemporary R&B Male/Female Solo Artist. In my eyes, this award is a symbol of all the time and effort I have put into making music. I want to remind all my fellow friends that can we get achievement anywhere and not limited to the academic field. Especially when we do things we enjoy with passion, it will be easier to move forward.”, said Jinan.
