Dr. Tisna Sanjaya, M.Sch. Painting Exhibition at Thailand National Gallery
Dr. Tisna Sanjaya, an Indonesian artist and lecturer from Aesthetics and Art Research Group, Faculty of Art and Design, ITB is invited to The Indonesian Painting Exhibition which is held for the first time at the National Gallery of Thailand from October 5-30, 2022. In this exhibition, he displays paintings and body prints with the theme “Lockdown, Rakus, dan Kemunafikan” which is his reflection on the pandemic situation.
This exhibition was officially opened on October 5, 2022, by the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and also UNESCAP, Rachmat Budiman, and the Minister of Culture of Thailand, Mr. Itthiphol Kunplome at the National Gallery of Thailand. This exhibition is part of the Trade, Tourism, Investment, and Cultural Forum (TTICF) which aims to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, and culture while also increasing the promotion of Indonesia in Thailand.
With the theme “Bridge of Colors”, this painting exhibition is expected to bridge existing differences and build an amicable ties across countries. Tisna believes that the painting exhibition can provide benefits for the people of the two countries to appreciate each culture. “This exhibition will further promote a good understanding between the people of the two countries,” said Tisna.
